W33: Dealer Slayer Robot Player

By boorch on August 18, 2024 10:31 pm

Many years later, I started working on a new indie game: Dealer Slayer Robot Player. It's a Blackjack based Roguelike. This is an idea I wanted to work on for many years, but just a couple of weeks after I started development, another Blackjack based roguelike game came out! What a pity! But I was relieved to see that it's a much more complicated game geared towards hardcore roguelike players, whereas I want my game to be easily playable for any non-gamer friends and family. So even if the base idea is the same, the scope of the project and my own take on it is quite different.

Anyways, I wanted to compose some placeholder menu music for it, and it became this week's entry. It's odd to have a DnB type beat for a game that is essentially turn based (as most, if not all the card games) but still I couldn't resist the urge. Made on M8.

Enjoy!
