W09: Bleu

Bleu is a semi-generative composition designed to capture the auditory essence of a summer morning at 4 am, embodying the liminal state between sleep and wakefulness. It utilizes Orca running on a Norns Shield, recorded onto a cassette through a recorder powered by a fading battery.

So slow-moving, lumbering along.  I like the static in the background, it makes the song feel old and worn-out.  It also sounds like you are using a synth as well as an actual piano?  Is the main note-by-note-by-note a real piano?  Cool song man

The pitch wobble and noise does give a nice uneasy feeling to the track.

Really liking the quality the cassette give this.

hello! thanks all for kind words!

I'm using Orca to trigger Timber engine. It's a single oneshot sample of a piano from Spitfire LABS (don't remember which one). The exact same sample is assigned to 3 different sample slots so i can play chords (if the notes overlap randomly anyways heheh)

The synth sounds are also one shot single samples. Again from Spitfire LABS. Same principal of assigning same sample to 3 slots apply.

you can see the first test of this patch (obviously not recorded to cassette heheh) here
