Whatever Jeremie

The title was inspired by one of those things you keep hearing all week. My mixing and mastering is improving, but still a long ways to go. Discovered parallel compression this week. Track already sounds better than previous weeks w/o all the fuss. please comment. Thanks.

I won't comment on finer points of compression because the listening headphones I have at work make everything super bassy (Sennheiser PX 100).

One thing I noticed is that I get a rather calming mood from the song despite the aggressive bass, especially around the first break. The scale of the backing melody (marimba-like item) is very haunting, it contrasts against the backing piano chords which are pretty consonant. For a track like this I expected more tension to develop and for it to give us that break and then a drop. Good work,

I think you can capitalize more on that piano, it's just the slightest bit too far back.
