"I can't believe we pulled it off."

Inspiration is the end trope of classic 80s Sci-Fi/Action movies, where the protagonists have an ifinitesimal chance at defeating the big bad/boss; they're on a wing and a prayer and feeling the anxiety of hopelessness, but what other choice is there?
AND THEN: against all odds whatever cockamamie plan they executed is successful. Exuberant joy and exhausted relief.

Made while relearning the OG-1 as I've been away from home, and that's all I grabbed when I was leaving.

I'm not super enthused by the A/A/B/C structure of the song, but I'm not an OP-1 ninja, and it is a loop beast.
I'm hoping to learn better how to translate loop based song structures into more open and less formulaic full songs.
I am not well versed in drum programming, but I have not used any of the OP-1 sequencers for the beats or anything else.

Constructive criticism is always welcomed, especially if anyone is sitting on tips or secrets about creating with the afforementioned device.

I suppose it bears mentioning that my right hand is currently in cast and has been for the better part of a year and a half.
Stay tuned for my songs to suck once my hand is free, rendering my excuse invalid lmao

Kinda hate-love OP-1, but haven't gotten rid of it in 14 years. I also haven't used it much during that time, as evidenced by my work lol

heart I like it and think that it's amazing that you did this one handed!

So good to see you here! Don't come in here on week 4 and expect to just sneak under the radar. I'm gonna listen to your music damnit. Nice work doing this one-handed, especially love that solo part at the end.

As for tips in drum programming: add an extra layer of percussion that does a steady 8th or 16th rhythm on a hihat or a ride. Can even be a shaker or tambourine if you want. Something to fill in the blanks between the kick and the snare, it'll give a bunch of drive to the drum part. Add a crash cymbal on the one of a new block and you've emulated yourself a drummer.
