Strange Place

Lost me mojo a bit lately & I reckon it shows.
Still, wanted to finish & not give up half way thru.
I don't hate it, but don't love it either...
Probably obvious, but loving acid squelches atm... This is a new T-8 that I've just bought, after selling my first one a while back 🤦🏻
3 separate basslines recorded into the M8 and arranged with added hyper synth
As well as the t-8 drums, I saw a video on YouTube about an Easter egg on Stylophone Beat, where there's an amen loop on it... So I recorded that too, & chopped & randomised it on the M8 for good measure.
Anyway, hope you all don't hate it

Sorry to hear you feel like you've lost your mojo... If it's worth anything, I really enjoyed this! The squelchy acid tones were great!
Also remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. And it's totally okay to take a week off to just cool down and take a breather. Another thing I do when shit's crazy and I don't have the mental capacity to make something new is to just dig in my SD card and sift through old projects. I very often find stuff that's, like, 95% done and I ask myself 'why the fuck did I never put this out???". Those bad weeks are a great opportunity to dust those old projects off since they need so little work.
Anyways, hope you find that mojo soon, friend!

Thanx Jegs!!! 🙏🏻🩵
I'm 100% trying to go for all 52 weeks here... One way or another 😂
Not got many unfinished projects since getting the M8, cos it's so good at pushing u to finish each track.. that's what I love about it.
But there may be a few more acid tracks with basically one bar, repeat & tweaked for 3 mins 🫣
And deffo some crunchiness this next week too!
Love that about the Community Jams... The themes & challenges definitely get the mojo moving 😉
See u on the jam 🩵

Make some filler as needed. There's no other way to do this and stay sane. This is a grind. We're almost 33% there.

Don't hate it, in fact, I even like it. Nothing wrong with Acid squelches smile After 17 weeks it's probably not unlikely to be a bit worn out, that's okay.

Don't be too hard on yourself and just do what feels right. We're doing this for fun, remember? Nothing wrong with taking a break.
If you're still motivated but lack the creative spark, you can always finish an old idea from the unfinished projects drawer.

Thanks M8 🙏🏻🩵
Yeah 100%... It's all about enjoying it
Deffo going to approach future weeks as playful tracks instead of trying to fit into some genre or another!!

Here's to week 19 🍻

100% doing more messing around going forward... Think the grind, for me at least, was trying to fit a genre... That is now out the window & going to just play whatever makes me smile on that particular day 🙏🏻🩵
