Sleeping Light Grove - v2

By bc likes you on May 27, 2018 7:59 pm

After missing last week, I decided I really wanted to revisit a submission from a couple of weeks ago. So here is my attempt to turn it in to a full song. This is only the 3rd time I've sat down with this song and I believe this is the *full* outline. Transitions need work and some other parts are lacking, but I think the whole thing is there.

// LYRICS //
-intro-
i saw a new world
we have to go there

-verse 1-
wake and stretch
grab our bags
check the map
this is it
they disappeared
just last week
traveling through worlds
where are you

-chorus-
we won't go home
until we find where our best friend has gone
they're in another world
and we have to go and find them

-verse 2-
i heard their voice
in the Sleeping Light Grove
light your lantern
i've got my sword

-bridge-
wait for us
stay alive

The chorus still rocks my socks. I now keep wanting to up the tempo as well as listening to it on repeat. It's good and haunting, so good on you for continuing work on this.

Thanks! "Haunting" is not something I thought it'd turn out like but is definitely a perfect way to describe it.

I don't mean it as a bad thing - its just a tune that gets stuck in my head in a good way. smile

I'll just accept that those are lyrics being sung, but whatever, it's chip rock, the single best genre in existence.
