I just picked up a Roland S-1 synth and this track was made entirely using that. Nothing was sequenced and all was played live and multi-tracked. I think next time I'll sequence and get Reaper clocking to the S-1. Great lil synth!

// GEAR //
-Roland S-1
     -I used presets from Ultimate Patches Volume 1: 1984 Synbells, Etheric Cinema, and The Whistler.
-Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
-Reaper
     -NI Raum Reverb

Dang, that's all S-1, played live?  The sound design is period-perfect (update: after reading the description I suppose it should be, being it's from a 1984 "ultimate patches" preset pack tongue).  Solid aesthetic 👍

Thx! Forgot to mention - I added a bit of Raum reverb on the intro and outro whistle synth; updated the description to reflect that. Also some comp and eq in Reaper. Other than that - yeah all S-1. I multi-tracked too so it couldn't do this all at once. Regardless - this synth rules. Those patches really opened it up for me.

love that plucky synth, so textured!!

sounds are lovely in here though, beautiful atmosphere heart
