Ephemera

I got a Yamaha Reface CP and on that same night, the little thing inspired this. This is all improv inspired by the sounds it was able to produce.
It's a super cool little keyboard and the onboard effects sound fantastic.
I am not a trained pianist and have only recently been working on learning how to play. It's wild how dramatically different instruments will lend themselves to different approaches in writing music. Piano always brings me back to some of my favorite influences like Erik Satie, Philip Glass and Trent Reznor.

Thanks for listening! Happy week 30!

You always be bringing me to some sort of neat environment, and this one is a Shadow of the Colossus type moment. I feel like I'm on the edge of a mountain, watching the world pass by in front of me.

So soft and gentle and delicate :') I feel like this song is fading away with every note barely hanging on... and yet, it persists.

Really beautiful work on this one.

Hold up, that was all improv? I clearly misread at first. HOLY SHIT MAN.

Dude, this is so pretty... Holy shit, it's improvised!?!?! God dayum, that's amazing!!!

simply gorgeous. thats it, im buying one of those reface keyboards to have at work

Yup, yup. I'm totally with you on how wild it is how different instruments will lead to different results. It was a lovely little world that you built there in this tune. Nicely done!

That was a mix of relaxing and stressing me out.
Love the dissonance of some chords, really interesting improv.

Very true, different instruments can definitely shape the way we write in different ways. And this track's got one heck of a beautiful shape! 😊
