Trying something outside my wheelhouse this week. Heavily inspired by Carpenter Brut.
This was a quick one off on my M8 while I was working at the music studio. It's nice to finally finish a track on my M8. I usually find myself mapping out tracks on it but never finishing them.

This track is a neighborhood theme for a DnD campaign I've been running for 5 years that is going to venture into a cyberpunk dystopia for its final act. As the party finishes up the second act, severing an eldritch gods connection to the world, they rest up, only to find themselves in the distant future in the middle of the sprawling cyberpunk metropolis of Baldur's Gate.

This past week has been about finding my center again after so much chaos. I'm finally starting to feel myself and get back into the creative groove again.

A definite departure from the doom.  Haha.  Nice work finishing a piece on the m8 and good to hear you're out of the funk and into the groove again.  Always feels good when you can create!

Thanks! It was a really fun exercise and I can forsee myself making some Dance With The Dead esque synthwave in the future for suresies.
Definitely feels great to be back at it.

My first thought right in the beginning of the track, not having read your description yet, was unironically "Oh, this has a Carpenter Brut vibe" 😅

I think the drums get a bit lost in the synths, but apart from that I like it smile (I mean, I am a huge Carpenter Brut fan ^^)

This goes crazy hard and it's amazing, hope the game is as exciting.

I think you're right. The drums do get drowned out a little. I'll keep a better ear on that in the future. Use ever more trig envelopes.

I'm really excited for it. They have already had to endure so much of my DnD bullshit. It's always better when shit gets weird.
