Cherry Worm

By BarristerPlong on May 19, 2024 3:48 pm

Despite having a pretty easy and calm week, I procrastinated till the last minute as usual. I decided to whip something up using only the wav synth on my M8. I haven't really done any chiptune before so it was a fun challenge and turned out alright. I spent way too long making and tweaking the drum instruments, but they give me NES vibes and that was what I was aiming for.

Lookout world, it's a ch- ch- ch- cherry worm. A wily boss: I surrender. Good track thanks!

This is all WAVSYNTH?? Woah! I loved the track already, but now I'm just plain impressed. Excellent work and great sound design!

It's slow to rise, but ultimately delivers the cherries.

Well now it's time to go relisten to a bunch of megaman soundtracks. Thank you!

Yeah! It was a ton of fun to get into the mindset of a game music composer restricted with rudimentary chip sounds. Learned a lot of neat tricks!
