Anemone

Things I like: reverb, sparkly sounds, sampler. Things I don't like: Improvising extended sections, the sample being not at the right pitch which makes the pitch of everything else sound wrong. This track contains all of these things. As usual, I ran out of time so I just ran with it. Hope everyone had a good week!

Sounds in-tune and well-structured to me. If you're concerned about tuning, try Melodyne (much more natural sounding than Autotune or vocoding).

You managed to pull it off despite all those things.

For me, you can just upload such dreamy pieces every week

„Lone” vibe achieved with this one by the way smile (I don’t know why my first comment was cut in half)

I did not notice anything wrong with this song. It was nice and I liked it!

Ah, thank you. I guess it wasn't really out of tune exactly, more that the chords were clashing more than what I would normally go for. But from your responses it seems that maybe I should embrace dissonance more often!

What a great compliment to be compared to Lone! Thank you so much smile

Dissonance can bring an element of tension into an otherwise bland piece that the rest of the song can make feel right. See them as happy little accidents.

Another quality track

Glad to see fellow Lone fans, and agreed that the vibe is definitely there. Reminds me of some of the tracks off of Galaxy Garden. Any pitch discrepancies in here definitely aren't distracting at all, just adds a nice tonal depth to the piece if anything. Lovely track!

lol whoops, messed up my quoting tags there. "What a great compliment..." is obv. supposed to be quoting Avarine

Don't worry! This sounded awesome! Nice dreamy vibes here smile

Yes, dreamy and light, love the feel of this, those bubbling synths and nice reverb. Good job on the drums too. I picture floating about, maybe doing a mellow little shimmy in mid-float. Nothing stands out as being off at all. I don't know Lone, will check them out because I like this!

Gotta echo everybody else.  Everything sounds right to me.  Plus, as mentioned, dissonance can be a useful musical tool.  Nice and dreamy.

I like the flow and the sound is really pleasant in this one.

that beat is awesome

fun!
