The Long Wait

By Ashtom on May 3, 2026 11:00 pm

I had what I thought was a good foundation for a high tempo, high energy, dance track but today I couldn't make it work the way I hoped to.

So I salvaged what I could at the last moment to make some broken lofi cassette ambient with recycled parts of it.

It all comes from the Deluge, recorded at high speed on the Portastudio, then played a slow speed. Then I drenched the whole recording in Valhalla Space Modulator and Supermassive.

Next week I'll be travelling so the music making might get even more trickier...

Anyway, have a great week!

I am always down for a slowed down tape

Thanks for letting me know! In this case, you might like some of my other tracks this year. A lot of them have been made this way.

Turned out really cool, I think. Very soothing

Oh wow what a trip.

Very cool way to turn something that isn't working into a space out jam.

That is some quality ambient right there. Great job at turning things around into something that sounds awesome.
