Waitoreke

A rather liquid sounding ambience with gentle rhythms. I used here Korg TR 61, Korg O1W/fd, Moog Voyager in effect role and Waldorf Blofeld. The leads are an acoustic guitar with heavy effects. Also some field recordings.

I tried to keep it somehow hypnotic and in a major key, which is a rarity for me...

More structure than Eno, but still captures that feel. Hypnotic indeed.

The acoustic sounds wonderful. Very fitting with the feel of the track. I like the electronic ending that kind of abandons all nature evoked from the acoustic guitar and field recordings. It's like you some how started out in a field with a babbling brook, but without gravity, floated out to space.

I agree the beginning evokes the feeling of nature, particularly a stream in a meadow, but then there's a blastoff into the atmosphere and beyond.  The acoustic guitar sounds absolutely fantastic.  I think this is one of my favorites of yours.

It's real hypnotic and it takes you on quite the journey with such a nice flow. I could listen to this for a long time.

Thanks! Yes, this is a pure mood piece if I ever did one...

Thanks!!! I thought the acoustic guitar would give it a nice earthy feeling, goes nicely with the watery soundworld

Thanks!!! I am really glad you like it, it was a very spontaneous piece with very little actual planning. Great that it works.

Thanks!!! This one might really form a basis for a longform piece with several sections. Might do that next year...

I was between tasks at work when this track started and I kinda just... drifted away! Wonderful experience heart
