Pebbles in Space

By Ashen Simian on February 24, 2024 5:52 pm

A mood piece of floating ambience this time....I was thinking about dust particles swirling in air in the sunlight while improvising this one. The sharper tones and those that come up a bit like cello notes are done with a ASM Hydrasynth, the background with Ipad synth Nave and Korg Polysix. Next week something more uptempo again...

You captured the feeling of what you were imagining really well.  Even without seeing the title or reading about the inspiration I definitely get a floating in space vibe and would have imagined something similar.  Really like the effect of the synths panning back and forth.  It sounds really cool in my headphones.

Music to watch dust to heart Very pleasant and pretty

I hadn't looked at the title when I started listening, and thought of space travel - floating in a vast dark space. The overtly electronic sounds blend well with the more subdued organic elements. There is a really nice melodic space cello or viola in there providing a sweet through-line behind those punchy tines.

Thanks!!! This indeed has a sort of suspended animation feeling in it too. Probably would work better with a less cluttered soundfield in places. It is my speciality to fill up the soundfield when in doubt and/or in hurry

Definitely fit for interstellar travel.
