Metensomatosis

By Ashen Simian on March 29, 2020 5:05 pm

A busy and a rather stressful week behind me, so I thought to bathe my mind with soothing sounds for now... well, not in the "new age"-way, but more like clear and airy, even liquid soundfields and textures. So this is ambient, I am sure

stay safe and stay strong, my friends!

Some really great sounds in here.  I was getting deep ocean vibes at first, but then the "airy" feel became more apparent to me as more of the textures came in.  Definitely sounds like floating to me, whether on water or air or possibly both.  Like on a hovercraft out over the water.

This was really interesting.  To me it felt like a year, and we went through "seasons" - I agree with Cosmic, there were different elements of air and water, but maybe also fire, wind, earth, electricity.

Nice job!

This is right up my alley, great cyberpunk feel to it, I am completely mind boggled by your wonderful synth aesthetic. A+ would take a flying cab away from the megapolis and into space again.

Thanks a lot, guys! Yes, I agree that it has probably sort of electric undercurrent going on under the more soothing layers. Some sense of movement too, so I am not surprised by the transport images it may evoke smile These short, ambient slabs of sound are actually very nice and fast to make... but of course, the results vary from useless to surprisingly good...it is more like a question of finding the right moment/mental state to make a good one... you can not just toil away on it until it is acceptable/good, like you could with a more sequenced material. Or at least that´s how it is for me...

These motions feel very space-like to me, the choirs and synths emphasize it.

There is a definitely life to this one.  Like sonic creatures flowing through.  Again a definite world created.  Lovely

Thanks!!! Music is a great place to be these days... personally, this social distancing thing has so far been surprisingly demanding in the way, that it has been quite difficult to be inspired for more arty things. But it will come, I am sure
