A novelty track of sorts. I liked Cosmic Cairns´s old fashioned synth track so much last week, that I decided to make something like that too. It became a sort of a joke kraftwerk song about one of the local tourist attractions. Very popular with german tourists... of course it will not be that this year, for obvious reasons.
I decided to use only old synths for this. All the percussion sounds are played by hand, no rhythm units in sight! The only sequencer is OB 2 voice´s 8-step analog sequencer. Everything else played to that to an zoom 16 track recorder.

Oh wow, that's super cool that my silly little track inspired you! I wasn't expecting to read that when I clicked on this track to listen. I feel a little unworthy.

I can really hear the Kraftwerk vibes in this for sure. You could probably convince me it was an obscure b-side of theirs or something. You've really captured the feel of their classic sound.
Thanks a lot! I have been listening to a lot of KW lately, beacuse of Florian Schneider's sad demise recently, and that has made me very inspired about their early input. I mean, their early stuff is very good, although not nearly as canonised like their stuff from 1975-1981. It is the combination of electronics, acoustic instruments and their unashamed human side. I think your work here has that same quality, you bring your person as a part of the package to the listener. I, for one, try to mask it any way i can!
Like the strings and sense of whimsy! fun stuff!
Wow, the Kraftwerk force is strong in this one. Maybe a hint of OMD Love the 8 step pattern bass sound and all the vintage synth sounds on parade! Downloading!
