Unclamped

I had this weird idea: I wanted to clamp all the sounds at around 512 Hz.
One sound would eventually find a way to ignore the low-pass filter and sing away.
It came out rather well, but I'd like to revisit it at some point with something more playful.

I tried to keep all the low-frequency sounds from blending too much, but that was. I could use some additional care if I re-attempt a track like this.

Regardless, I had fun.

Interesting approach to make an entire track as if the DJ filter knob was turned down. Makes you think deliberately about what timbres are left and how to make them work together. The result is cool, and when the distorted pad finally breaks free it makes for a pleasant sonic palette.

I'll try to listen to my track this week that way. Thanks for the inspiration!

this is wonderfully restrained, enjoyed this a lot!

I love the idea, and the execution is great as well, feels like stepping out of the club for a moment
