Sometimes you just need a spark, and then,
Untz, Untz, Untz, Untz.

Now the kick comes alive.

I was playing with the famicon synth in Ableton, and one particular sound just stood out to me.
It "sparked" an idea.
Queue a lot of work, tweaking, love, frustration, and distortion later, and it turned into this.

And I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
