Amsterdam Love

Amster, Amsterdam, Ik hou van je!
Amster, Amsterdam, I love you!

I can't believe I got it to a point where it's publishable, hehe.

So, we Dutchies have the "Amsterdam Dance Event," a five-day electronic music conference and festival held all over Amsterdam every October. Every year, I try to make a track for it; it's just fun to do/try.

It started with the bass synth, which had this vocal vibe when using more extended notes; it sounded like it was saying "Amsterdam," so I added my own vocals along with some Microsoft Sam to it, tweaked them (too much), and wanted something hypnotizing to spread over the whole thing.

Sadly, I've been stupidly tired these past few weeks, so I struggled to get the mix and stereo right and had an even harder time laying out the track. With only a few hours to go, I decided to just start over, and luckily, it all fell into place within an hour. This was hard, and I am going to bed after publishing this one.

Next week, I'm going to try something simple and experimental. Hopefully, it won't end up too complex and time-consuming.

Thanks for listening!

I love how we had a similar idea big_smile I visited the ASOT Radio Studio last week and wanted to make a track out of that day, but sadly nothing really came of it, so I named it A4 instead (with it hopefully leading to an Amsterdam track one day^^)

Loving the groovyness of your track as well as that main synth that feels like it's going in a horizontal circle (if that makes sense). Also love how you used MS Sam big_smile Really enjoyed listening to it

OOh, I still want to visit the Boomroom studio, Even had a masterclass from one of the people working there, It was quite interesting to hear what he had to say.
