Decked

I don't have much time for a blurb this week, unfortunately, so here's a quick summary of 'Decked', which is this week's effort from yours truly:

- Yes, this was made on the M8 again!
- I cut up a drum loop for one track, there's a kick drum sample on another, a riser sample, a single sampled note of some synth or other, and some internal M8 synthesis going on.
- As usual, there are some subtle volume changes and LFO to volume stuff, as well as various P-lock equivalents (Electron parlance!) for cutoff, reverb and delay in various places.
- I didn't know what I wanted to make, but alighted on a techno banger. I mean, it's not really a banger (is it even really techno?!), but is at least on its way to bang time!
- I stuck the M8 Limiter on 30, and then compared a Render with Limiter to one without after putting both versions through Logic's new Auto Masterer. I honestly couldn't tell the difference (I was interested in whether it would be obvious), so stuck with the Limiter one!

I hope you like it, everyone. Feedback gratefully received as always.

Oooo. Perfect grungy video game track. Swooshy and glitchy, driving. Uneasy without being too unfriendly. Nice one!

So many people using M8 tracker these days. Good stuff.
