Liner notes here aren't too advanced. I've been trying to work a little more on catchy melodies, though for this one I think I ended up going more with rhythm and groove than with the melody, seeing that the initial melody doesn't really feature prominently in the track. I did want to do a little more with suspensions as well as some chromaticism and off-scale/off-chord tones. I've also tried to be a little more aware of doing callbacks to previous motifs in the song to make the different sections grow on previous ideas.
It's not really a groove track but I guess it kind of is?
Yes, I do change the time signature - something that I've started doing pretty regularly in July or so (on advice from my composition coach).
