Work up the courage to do the things that you want to do. Summon the bravery to tackle the darkness that scares you.

========
A mostly-rock song with some synth-like elements in it. I mostly experimented with trying to come up with better melodies, and I think I kind of did it in some parts of the song, but the transitions are still a little rough and I think I’d change some of the chords now that I think about it.
Still, there are some decent melodies in here and I think it’ll be important to see how I can better assemble song structure in the future.
Timeline
========
Wed, Feb 17. 9:27 - 10:50 PM. Laying down basic track. I want to continue trying to come up with songs that have decent melodic hooks, because I think that is a weakness. I think I might try to use some of the synths I made last week and work on doing better call-response melodies.
Verse chords

Pre-chorus

Chorus (major modulation)

Today, I learned how to convert audio to MIDI in Logic Pro X. This is totally amazing. How did I not know about this?
74 bars, 80 minutes.
Thurs. Feb 18. 8:15 - 9:00 PM. Reviewing the song and trying to lay down better existing parts, but I wasn’t very efficient about it.
Sat, Feb 20. 9:50 - 10:40 AM. Labelling structure of the song. Trying to reconstruct the melody (I forget it). Working on second verse, second chorus, and a bridge to make this a pretty standard song structure.
5:17 - 6:09 PM. Fixing chord progressions that I changed on the fly. Redoing some instrumentation parts. There’s a lot of parts where there’s some instrumentation missing.
8:18 - 8:36 PM. Guitar work, adding parts that I forgot.
Sun, Feb 21. 9:20 - 10:04 AM. Trying to put down the rest of the parts of the song. I could probably copy and paste in a pinch, but what’s the fun in that?
Total time: 5 hours 2 minutes
Total length: 202 bars
