Reflection of the Mind

By Arcana on October 21, 2018 7:20 pm

Sit in the dark, and look within. What do you see? What efforts you face, when you project them, no one else feels them. When you sit there, the reflection of the mind, why is the mirror so dark? Is it because there are no lights, or is it because I cannot see?

What will I do to bring light back? What will I do to once again see? What can I do to reflect on my mind, to know myself and let the mind be free?

Technical notes: Eurorack Modular music, featuring Intellijel Plonk, Intellijel Dixie II+ with Audio Damage Dub Jr. MkII and Intellijel Springray 2, and Intellijel Tetrapad, Noise Engineering Cursus Iteritas, Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter, Synthesis Technology E352, Intellijel Polaris and Korgasmatron filters. Sequenced with the Industrial Music Stillson Hammer MkII and ALM's Pamela's New Workout. The key is in D minor and the song is 6/8 at 62 bpm.

That's some serious self-reflecting sounds.

I'd like to think I've a pretty good grasp on myself.

Very introspective sound and not what I've come to expect from Eurorack modular compositions, which have been more on the ambient soundscape side of the spectrum. Very interesting percussive sounds coming in towards the end. Nice work!
