No Place to Call Home

Returning to your hometown. Everything's there, but it's all different now. Different signs. Different people. Different smells. You've been away too long and you want to get away, but there's no where else to return to.

The main claim to fame for this song are the following two notes:

1. I am practicing Jazz harmony
2. Initially, I was going to just stop but then I felt that the beginning was way too intense and then I dialed it back and adjusted the pacing and the tempo. I think the reason that this is significant is because I normally don't pay that much attention to things like this but for this song I started to notice.

You definitely nailed those harmonies. Neat job taking them in an unexpected direction!

Ah yes, culture shock.

The intro is adequately mellow and the harmony is properly smooth. I do like the progression, but I also feel it would be appropriate if it would end up a little more distressed over time.

Thanks for the suggestions! On another listen I can see what you mean. Will look at this next time.
