Going to do another modular jam. I want to try the following two techniques:
a) A more ambient feeling, with occasional interesting rhythmic elements
b) Transposing sequences regularly to give the feeling of shifting basslines or pads
Checklist of successes:
[x] A more ambient feeling, but because I feature a pretty prominent melodic lead, as well as drum hits, it's not like spacey-ambient or even modular ambient - it's kind of like strange background music.
[x] Transposing sequences. Yeah this actually worked: I connected the Stillson Hammer mk2 to uScale and managed to get it pretty well. This actually is a good technique because I can now adjust all of my chord progressions arbitrarily.
[x] Some cool noises. Okay this wasn't a stated objective but I was able to get a surprising amount of different textures out of this.
