Hey everyone! Back to M8 this week!

Not sure if i told it before but ive been wanting to buy a second M8 or to be more precise a M8 v2 since it released. I wanted a second m8 for live shows even longer than the v2 release but i could never justify getting a second one since i dont really do all that much with my v1 even. So i said to myself that if i manage to finish this years weeklybeats challenge without missing (unless there is some kind of even that makes me unable to finish it) i will buy myself the M8 v2.

So i kinda started this challenge with the thoughts of making the most of my m1 and write tons of songs but in the end i kinda strayed to all kinds of challenges in different daws and i honestly enjoy it a lot.

I think what i found out so far from this year is that i enjoy making music in general and its not limited to a device or a software. As long as it slaps im happy.

So back to M8 this week but there is also one more thing. I got my girlfriend a macro lens for christmas and she loves shooting all kinds of close up pictures with it and since we both use fujifilm cameras i stole it for this weeks video and shot some close ups of the M8 lcd screen and it looks insanely cool.

Make sure to watch this weeks video, it really is something special and probably even cooler than the generic house beat its trying to promote haha. Speaking of the beat, this weeks melody also started a while back and i decided to finish the idea for this week because i really like its uplifting nature but since the main synth originates from before hypersyn and signal following it had a manually programmed table for the ducking and a very phasey sounding lead because its using the „saw swarm“ patch from the macrosynth.

Didnt really want to change that part because it reminded me of the „og m8 sound“ a lot which kinda got lost with how many features and quality improvements the software got but now everything is massive and clean and super well produced. This one is kinda the opposite but still sounds really well balanced imo.

Anyways, thanks for listening to my ted talk and make sure to check out the video! Bye!
