Crepuscular Rays

Played some Star Citizen for the first time since 2015 this week and while cruising in a cloudy atmosphere i wrote that melody down on my m8 while looking the sun set on the horizon.

In the end i just ported the melody over to ableton, slapped way too much reverb on it and looped it for over 3 minutes. I think this whole thing took me around 30 minutes to do but i liked it enough to just keep it as my weeklybeat.

Not as flash as last week (which if you didnt see it yet check it out. im super proud of it) but it solves the purpose of filling another week as "finished".

It is a very nice loop and the things you added to accompany it, along with the fading in and out help a lot to keep it interesting. I enjoy this kind of patterny music: Not necessarily a lot of variation in the melodies, but still plenty of variation in timbre and energy.

Didn't even register it as repetitive because the dynamic of having it wash over me in waves had me just drift rather than paying attention to the ride. Very well done, especially for something quickly put together.

It may be simple but it works. And WahSp is giving me some ideas for the future. I've got to shake free of linear mode.

Loved this, really cozy vibe. I hear you about looping things... it's basically my go to method with modular. Breaking out of that and *into* linear mode is hard for me in turn @Cakes, lol

sometimes simple is key i guess. this time it mostly just came from laziness and bad time management i guess lol

thanks so much! me being usually very linear writing oriented, looping like that is kinda unusual but sometimes following the least resistance path at that moment is the key to finish a week so i wont complain lol.

Love how this evolves - Also kinda reminds me of Satisfactory's ost and now I wanna get back into that big_smile
