Alpha Centauri (week9)

Renoise time baby!

Its been a while since i last used it because of all the M8 and toying around in FL but after entirely forgetting about weeklybeats again and only remembering hours before deadline without the m8 with me and not fluid on logic for ipad i decided to just remote into my windows pc and boot up renoise.

With the week being full of work with me staying longer essentially just waking up, working, going to sleep for most of the week its safe to say my creative juices werent really flowing so it was kinda hard to get it going but in the end im not too disappointed in it. Could it have been better? yes! could it have more variation etc..? Yes absolutely! Am i gonna do it? Hell no.

Its very loopy and not with all that much variation but i like the idea of it. Could be great for live mixing to some other music. Also i think the mix sounds really good on it.

Overall it was supposed to be one of those "glad i did not miss the deadline" kind of tracks but it pumps super hard so im super happy with it.

All sounds are made using Serum2

I'm here for this, fist pumping away at the end of a fun weekend!

Awesome stuff, man!
Feels like a celebration.

And even if you feel it could have more, this is an awesome piece of music that wouldn't have existed if you didn't make it. 😁❤️

Duuude, this doesn't sound phoned in at all. A couple hours?? You masked the "loopiness" really well, I wouldn't have caught on. Hope work's losening up a little these days. Been in the work-sleep-work cycle before and that shit is life draining.

Cant wait for the days to get longer again, i get so tired at like 7pm already because its dark outside that i cant motivate myself to do anything even if i got time. excited for summer to come back. thanks for the kind comment!

Nice energy on this track, yeah can relate to that feeling of squeezing the last bit of the week's effort to jam something in before the deadline. Glad you're happy with it, I think it worked out quite well

Oh my goodness that bass. Not sure how you make such aggressive ducking glide so smooth but you nailed it.

In addition to the sidechaining the serum patch i built for the bass has a envelope playing on each kick which lowpasses the sub a bit so the highs kinda move out of the way for the pumping feel but the low end presence mostly stays.
Also the kick is phase aligned to the sub which makes it easier to just layer them without it feeling overwhelming
