THIS IS 80s!
So, last week Gab Manette basically challenged me to try some synthwave in LSDJ. Apparently this is what that turns into, haha! ^_^ Frankly this was a week with not that much time left for composing, so even though this track uses more repetition than usual I'm quite surprised it turned out to be 3mins long in the end.
Also added slight reverb, because this is synthwave we're talking about.
As always, hope you enjoy!

Amazing work !
Boy, you are REALLY good at LSDJ. The "chorus" section was really beautiful, and I couldn't believe all the textures you had layered in there. Gorgeous stuff.
THIS. IS. 80s!
My god. This is amazing. I was gone for a week and somehow managed to forget how clean you make everything <3
Whoa, thanks! Because of time constraints this week hadn't expected such a positive reaction.
Amazing work !
Thanks, procyon! Means a lot, your track last week was one of the reasons I wanted to do some synthwave. ^_^

Much appreciated, Orange! Glad you like those textured layers so much, or rather the illusion thereof
oooo, fantastic arp melody, really grabbed my attention! Nice groove too, this is a bit of a banger my friend Sick panning towards the end too, it's so impressive that you can do this in LSDJ! Well done

Yoooo, thanks! Truly happy you all like this so much
antler's wizard status = confirmed! Mad props, I love love love the side-chain compressor simulation on the bassline, those sweet, sweet arps and the playful chip speech on top. I knew you'd come up with something fantastic!

Thank you, Gab, it was a nice change of pace (literally, most other tracks I do are higher tempo)! Hah, I basically just listened to a lot of synth over on yt and picked some of the elements that were easy to simulate with LSDJ. Delighted you like it!
Woohoo for synthwave! Love the opening arp which instantly had me tapping along. Your chord progressions in your tracks are super catchy and awesome. Very inspiring stuff! (oooh week 13 just came on again, gtg!)

D'ahw thanks for the kind words Glad you think my music is inspiring, so is yours! ^_^
Great stuff. Synthwave doesn't exactly come to my mind, but I guess you can only do so much with chiptunes.

Thanks! Yeah, a lot of synthwave feel comes from the, well, synths As you say, only so much one can do to mimic FM and all.
Man I dig this one a lot! It's very minimal but it works very well. The change may be a little too sudden, but the part that comes is good so really can't complain here haha. Also props for a nice beefy snare
Get in yo' Ferrari and drive to neon mountains to get to the beach! awesome stuff!

Yes, I agree with you there, I might've introduced it a bit more fluently. I guess that's the beauty and curse of weekly beats' time constraints Happy you like it nonetheless :]

Haha, neon mountains. More like neon sand dunes here in the nl.
