Whoop! And that concludes the first quarter of WeeklyBeats 2018. Casually reflecting on the last 13 weeks, I must say I'm incredibly happy I decided to join this year. I've written more tracks already now than I did in the last couple of years combined, and I feel I'm gaining steady experience with LSDJ (which is exactly what I wished for). Looking at other people's sav's reminds me there's still much to learn, but I hope that with this steady workflow I'm gaining the freedom in Q2 to play around more and more.
About this track: I'm fairly happy with the result. Part I like most is the melodic work in the verse - I've played around with W (pulse width) somewhat more than usual there. I'm not entirely content with the song structure - couldn't get it right in the time I had before the deadline - but that's what WB is all about. Please enjoy!

that experience is definitely paying off, this mix is super clean and tight! chord progression is so nice here with that melody over top, so beautiful. fav part is a little past the 3/4ths mark with that buzzy lead!
Ah, that 'sort of' prechorus! Humbly, it makes me smile you like my music, Parallelis.
Super catchy tune, I really like the instrument choices and care that was put in tying everything together! That meow-y lead about 3/4 through is so fun Makes me want to spend more time with LSDJ, very inspiring!
Very lovely, and it gets lovelier halfway in.
Welcome to the 1/4th club! Sorry I've missed your stuff, I'll have to catch up! This is really wonderful and deep stuff. nice chord change surprise during the chorus.
Ditto!

Thanks! Seems everybody's part is 3/4's in. Good thing we're inspiring each other! Might try my hand at some LSDJ synthwave indeed

Thanks, Devieus! ^_^

Thanks you, orangedrink! Happy to join, and have fun catching up! Everything's over on soundcloud as well, if that's easier listening.
That chord's a secondary dominant iirc.
I think the parts where the lead is high-pitched and has a fast vibrato on it are a bit too dry, it calls for a more driving bass and echoes on the lead, but overall it's a very nice track! So glad I found your music, pretty much the only lsdj tracks I look forward to listen to this year, so good
Yo, this is really really good! Also, Kaedo's visual really adds to the experience. This chord progression (the walk up) is just pleasing as hell!

Yo thanks! That means so much you say that! I’m certain there’s plenty other great lsdj’ers releasing this year.
Totally agree with you on the chorus. Ran into the limitation of having only four tracks to add some rev, but I’m sure there’s some trickery to be done to juice it up. Adding some more intricate bass might well be key. Maybe I’ll visit this track again someday

Hah I love stepwise increasing bass lines sooo much! Glad to hear you like the music, scot! ^_^
Love how good the bass and synths sound in the chorus chord progression. The dark bubbly synth lead at the end, oh yais!

Thanks, Tone Matrix! Always fun hearing specifics on what people like ^_^
