Maelstrom

As I was preparing my setlist for Chipwrecked '18, I came across my track for week 19 and remembered how fun it was to do a more prog-heavy track. So, without much further ado, 9/8 this week! To me, the track feels like a roaring current of rhythm, which is where the title came from. I'm fairly happy with this one. smile

Hope you enjoy this! heart

(As an aside, I'll be releasing the first WB album next week, so keep an eye out on my social media if that interests you ^_^)

The individual transitions into the various layers of drums are wild. Loving the sorta sweeping noise transition that gels all of the sections together. Really nice instrument design in this tune as well! Also you better throw that album info right at me heart

Thanks man, and I'll let you know when the album comes online (probably wednesday) big_smile

Tight integration of all those rhythmic parts. That woozy melody line is "to  die for."

I love how there's several distances of panning, it creates such a vast and dynamic sound, terrific compo as well heart I had you on soundcloud but I don't check all that often, now I follow your page on Facebook so I'm sure not to miss the album smile

Woah, it's like progressive chiptune rock. So delicious!

Haha, well LSDJ only does far left, far right and center, so anything that's inbetween is just an illusion. wink And yay, thanks for the follow! From what I've gathered not a lot of people are on soundcloud anymore, what websites *do* you frequent, because I'd be happy to upload there as well if it reaches more people.

A very good illusion it is then hehehehe, might be the choice of instruments that's doing that smile Yeah soundcloud is a lot quieter than it was, everyone recommends spotify to me but I've yet to check it out, I'm more the type to go on bandcamp as I like to listen to whole albums at once. As one friend recommended to me, the more places you can distribute your music, the better, so along with spotify, soundcloud and bandcamp you could try for apple music, deezer and any other. I've something else in mind, I'll pm you on your FB page to pick your brains smile

We should all do prog more often.

This panning heart Paying a lot of attention this week since I've downloaded famitracker on Morti's recomendation. I think I might be revisiting your tunes quite a lot over the next week!

Oooh, now that I finally have some free time I'll be sure to check those tracks out! I'm not doing Famitracker, but I'm quite sure the same panning can be done in there.
