5/8 this week, going through all of 'em odd metres.

Had a remarkably busy week, so most of this track was put together during the weekend in between other stuff.

Strangely danceable.

The rhythm is so much fun heart Really enjoyed this one!

Very nice and somehow straightforward.

Good to spice up the chip tune stuff with odd signatures.  Nice one.

That's because the track is technically 5/4 and not 5/8

I love the fact that the odd time signature does not feel forced at all. The melody fits like a glove.

Hmyeah, I think that's the challenge with odd time sigs, right. Keeping them natural.

Yeah, what rdomain says helps. It starts out in 5/8 and then the kick pattern makes it 5/4, kinda cementing the rhyhtm in that groove.

Now that's a great compliment, because that's mostly what I find hardest with odd time sigs. Perc and harmony's easy, but writing a good melodic line on top if it. Sheesh!
