Untitled Chip

By Anon_Buster on October 18, 2020 5:52 pm

My chiptune tracks haven't always used chiptune type sound. I've substituted more analogue synthesizer sounds and blended chiptune and some other form of electronic music. This week, I decided to listen to some chiptune artists and make a track based off of the sounds I heard in their tracks. This is my track using sounds gathered from the Genesis, NES/Gameboy, and slight tweaks to basic waveforms using the Jupiter 8.

Really dig the sound selection. The first 30 seconds took me back to one of my favorite Contra games. I can't remember what sounds were used in it, but I think it was more the driving nature of your track, and the momentum of it. I like the way you give all the different leads space to play and express themselves, too. Nice work!

Damn man, epic lead at 1:15.  This track is cool as hell, lots of energy.

Yes!  Excellent old school gaming homage with the collection of sounds. The bassline I especially enjoyed.  Such a deep sound!

I like the movement from 0:45 on a lot and I second Chrisffo - the lead from 1:15 onwards is epic!

That's a chipping beat.
