This Is a Dungeon?

This track at least has more of the feel I'm trying to go for, so I'm happier after three weeks of garbage shoot tracks coming out of my head. I finally found a way to bring this song together with the addition of a background, mostly for filler frequencies, sound that blends in with the underlying pad.  That, and I finalized the guitar ideas, though I didn't finalize the playing. Whoop. The middle bridge is sloppy and doesn't emphasize the pauses underlied by the guitar and drums (When I revisit it, I'll volume cut the pads and ringing sounds at those points.

Hell yeah dude, this is great.  Love the electronic/chiptune vibe, but its also kinda scratching my fantasy metal itch too.  That bridge is badass, when you get a guitar take you're happier with its going to be killer.

I love the guitar in this track, and I can't wait to hear another take that really nails what you're going for. I'm always really impressed with how you mix real guitar with your chiptune sounds, and this track is a fine example of it.

Nice chiptune and the guitar track has a good chuggy sound. Good job on the solo as well - cool melody lines and dynamics! What gear do you use for that guitar?

I haven't heard of fantasy metal. That will be something to research this week. Thanks. I have been trying to get back to using guitar. Finally, my music is getting to a point where I can routinely see guitar being added to the music. It was a challenge seeing how to combine electronic and guitar until the last month or two.

Thanks. I can't wait to hear that take, too. This will be a song I plan to use when sharing music on a stage, so I'm looking forward to finishing the track.

Thank you! I'm not sure if you'll be disappointed as many purists are, but the guitars are all soft-amp creations. I have gained Amplitube, Helix Native, and Guitar Rig for the effects, head and cabinet emulations. I occasionally use MixIR2 or Two Notes' Torpedo Wall of Sound for cabinet emulation. I mainly use Amplitube--->Tube Screamer 808 with level pushed to 100 and gain between 25-60%--->Marshall headm usually J800--->Marshall, Mesa Boogie or an Amplitube branded "Modern" cab---> one of many V30 speaker variations or Greenbacks/Creambacks--->an SM57 mic with a 121 ribbon paired together or a Neumann U87 with a Shure 421 if I want a more blended sound based on the amp and cab combo. Always, I use a different amp/cab combo for each guitar. The lead guitar in this, however, was done in Guitar Rig with their Marhsall incarnation, a basic SM57 mic on their IR cab, and a Jimi Hendrix delay. That sound was basic as heck.

The guitar tone sounds excellent.  Especially the solo melody towards the end when you shred it to bits smile  That deep background synth adds nice warmth to the track too.  Well done!

Nice.

The addition of the guitar is sick nasty, my guy

Love the energy in this track, great stuff
