Tapping a 7

Since I have been hating all of my tracks over the last week, it feels like longer (Oh! The Suffering --Coheed and Cambria), I took my laptop outside to perform the Xbox (original) stress test from 20 feet above the sidewalk, my computer made an interesting noise in a plea for its life. Kontakt decided to mess up and play a West African percussion noise that blew out my ear drums (yes, from 20 feet away). Taking what I'm learning with structure and trying to make something interesting, I came up with this toon. The percussive parts played a rhythm that messed me up because of the repeating G note, which ended up making a 15/16 beat that I eventually figured out. Timing is either shortened or extended on some notes by a 1/16 note to make up the gap in time or allow it to speed up the timing of the track. My computer, that son-of-a-biscuit looking like Batman's villain Two Face, is in operation again. It has been actively flashing bloodhound trojan viruses, pictures of hot singles in the area who are interested in me, and bank schematics. I'm not sure if I should be proud or concerned. (I couldn't tell the distortion happened on the kicks after hours of listening to the song on repeat. Ear fatigue is real.)

Are you living in a comic book or something? This'd be a great theme song for it either way.

Hey, whatever it took to get there, this comp sounds great! Loving that African percussion against western strings, and all the different rhythms. Be proud, very awesome smile

Some days, I feel like it. With the amount of Star Trek: The Next Generation I just watched, and the amount of time shifts and swaps to different planes of existence, I believe it's possible I live in a comic book while also existing in the real world. With sound judgment, there is no way for me to know what I don't know without knowing it. It's like being a jedi, you don't know what it's like to be a Jedi Knight until you are one. Those little padawan need to stop whining that the big boss jedi are lazy, sitting on their hands all day while the padawan do all the heavy lifting. Shut up and get to work. *cracks whip*

Thank you! I still hear hiccups in the song where not durations can be fixed and timings are off for an instrument. The beauty is that the beats have messed with my head so much that I can't easily distinguish when one went off-pattern by a 16th beat. : D

I went from Toomba PSX to Rayman 1 DOS in 3 minutes and 3:35 seconds.

The start of this track had me flashing back to the dwarf village of Secret of Mana. Love how this has more variation though, and the middle section is really great; a gentle uplifting break before returning to the main melody.
