Challenger VI: Not My Style (Any Of Them)

By angellis on March 9, 2022 6:06 am

I was playing with different sounds that I wouldn't normally use: more mainstream dance/electro sort of things.
I wanted to make an evolving track with different feels and tempos while still feeling like the one track. There is nothing too adventurous, but I like how it changes (most notably from 5mins on.)

Damn, this rules. Epic lead synth sound.

My favourite question: hardware or software?

This one was software! A whole wall of Massive. Next week may be hardware... or the week after... I've been tinkering with a system 1m lately...

How is the system1 treating you? I was adverse to getting one when apparently there was some sort of software on subscription? is that still a thing?

The System 1m is a fun device. REALLY fun. The subscription was something that was launched at the same time, but owners of the hardware synth got the plugin version for free. You can pay for roland clound but never had to.

Back to the unit, I understand why people love the System-8. A couple more voices would be handy but really, its pretty flexible. The aira link means it slots in well with the MX-1 and can run off USB power from that.
