Improvisation #1

By an0va on February 23, 2014 11:48 pm

Feeling kinda meh on this one. I spent all my free time this week trying to fix MSDOS computers and figuring out a stable way of emulating Amiga that I completely forgot about this week. And within the past hour, I just booted up my DX keyboard and improvised two tracks : one being a rhodes piano and the other being a bell lead. Both tracks were done in one take and I'm a novice keyboard player at best so excuse the messups through out - I literally didn't know what chord to go to next each time on the rhodes track and then when I tracked the bell I forgot what the chords were, lol. Started off with some Eastern raga-influenced thing but then some how it turned into a Save Room from Resident Evil, which I am ok with I guess!

Ahhh the slightly tenuous relief of that save room vibe! Very nice improv smile

I love this! And if you need help with Amiga, let me know smile

Classic DX and the chords make me wish I could play Chronotrigger again smile  Very cool vibe throughout.

I'm not sure if it is possible to comment on anything you do without making a direct reference to a video or video game culture but I will try.

I especially like the way yfzzzgghhhhhddzzffzzzxxzz

Thank you and you know what - I will! I managed to at least get the emulation to be stable but now I'm just fumbling through the OS and shell - I'll reach out to you soon!

Which DX have you got?  Those bends and mod sound so cleeeaaan.  Chords are wonderful (esp that mode change) and lovin' that verb!

Thanks man! It's a DX27. It's super rad and I got it for so cheap, it isn't even fair. wink
