Week 23: Make a song from a single sample Round 2

This time it was a success!

The sample is of a gate being open in a woodland area called Goblin Combe just outside of Bristol. You can hear the untreated sample in full at the beginning.

Some friends and I were visiting the goats there and when I heard how the gate sounded I had to record it

The song itself is fine, a little lurchy but I like the quirks and its meditative energy

Glad I revisited this challenge and succeeded this time!

I love the idea of this challenge, as well as the resulting track! It really is meditative in its own way.

It’s so easy to get lost in the weeds with a DAW that the idea of making a track with just one sound sounds almost liberating in a way.

I may have to try this. Thank you for the inspiration.
