The Tricks Around You Win

This was a tough one. Been out traveling and working a helluva lot. This didn't leave much time for beats. But I did try to set myself up by doing little bits here and there throughout the week rather than have a made rush at the weekend.
I think there is a core of something here, I wish I had more time to explore it!
The BBC symphony plugin came in handy again for filling out the sound, and it does really sound ace once its got some reverb on it. Can't believe that stuff is free!
Anyway. Week 30! thats like.. 30 whole tracks done this year, and I'm pretty chuffed with that.
ART:

inspiring me to work on bits here and there throughout the week (my long time goal this year that...i...keep...procrastinating on...) instead of waiting til the weekend. and i connect with the feeling of wanting to spend more time on something once you get into it. that's happened to me on a couple tracks where i finally start early enough to have something deep to get into, but not enough early enough where i'm still rushing and don't get to really fill it out.

this was a fun one! gave me mid-aughts pop-punk-electro-indie vibes like owl city "firefly" and  hellogoodbye "here in your arms"

This just feels so good, the magic you do with that guitar just resonates with me.

A very energetic and uplifting track that grabs your attention right away.  Excellent drums that keep the pace and the combo of synths with guitars sounds great.  Gotta love that BBC plugin.  Spitfire has so many cool free sounds to check out.  Nice use of the strings to segway into the main chorus part.  The drum changes really add to it as well.  A triumphant song!

heart thank you! The important thing is to just keep going with these WB tracks, take what you learnt/what you wanted to do, and just do it in the next one (or forget and panic all over again big_smile)

Thanks! Fun fact, I've been using the same line up of plugins for the whiney/ambient guitar since 2016. I refuse to let it get old.

Thank you heart I need to dig into the sounds more, I get nervous about choice overload with free plugins, so usually only go looking if there is something I really want! The strings are so much fun though, I've never tried anything like it until a few weeks back

It's a winning team, it may be your sound and it's definitely one that really hits us good.
