The Dreaming Void

My idea this week was to record a track in drop C tuning, that doesn't sound like its in drop C. The trick being that that kind just means not playing the bottom C, making drop C mostly redundant.

It was fun to mash the distortion though, so I'll give it that. Most of this was composed in one day, as, as usual, things are busy, and I've also got some other projects taking up my time. I'm honestly amazed I've made it this far. I'd like to try and be a bit more out there with composition and such, but within the constraints of WB, its hard to no fall back on things, but there is also nothing wrong with that. Its freeing and a cage, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll alos one day get around to answering and saying thanks for the comments heart, I do see them, but I rarely get a change to have a meaningful reply. Keep on truckin'

Haha yeah, sometimes I just tune to odd tunings for the sake of observing the fretboard differently, even if I'm functionally playing something that could have been in E standard. It can be a fun exercise to re-learn a song you wrote in E standard too, as a reverse-reverse way to looking at E standard differently.

This track is rad. There's a lot of evolution through the sections and it's a nice mashup of genres. There's some chiptune, some post-rock ambience, some post-metal trilling. I really like that burst of energy at 1:55, it almost kind of gives me a Starcraft Terran vibe. Apparently I've been sleeping on your music, my bad sad I'll have to keep coming back to check out what you do next because this is up my alley.

I always enjoy the journeys your tracks take me
