Mastery of Empty Fiction Award

It has been another week where.. one.. I didn't start until Saturday, and two.. just generaly feeling a bit tired and down. But, it always feels good to get something down, get the noises flowing. I think I had more of an idea about what I wanted from this track after I finished.. but hey, I ain't going back to it. I really enjoy the three drum tracks and trying to get some big clattering sounds out of them, without ruining the pulse.

The hardest thing was trying to break out of the chord progression, which is always a roll of the dice for me as sometimes the chords I come up with at the start are weird things plunked off a capoed guitar and then I forget what they were... as was the case here.. but I don't wanna do the track too much of a diservice, having a rough week is always part of Weekly Beats process, it is always important to keep going, its all worth it. Strong arm emoji and all...

I did also take forever of the artwork. longer than most other tracks, just it looks so simple. That is the problem with simple things isn't it? heh....

The artwork looks very nice.

I really like when the track takes off at the 1:15 mark with the insistent arp like lead and then another build up until 1:44. For a track that was uninspired, you pulled 5:46 and there is no part to feel ashamed about.

Empty as this fiction is, it's certainly not hollow, 3:22 hits me good
