Healthy Defaults

By alonemusic on February 13, 2022 11:11 am

This week I thouhgt I'd try and nail a wall of sound.. I think I got that bit.. but damn if mixing/mastering this kinda thing feels beyond me right now! I did at least check there was bass this week though wink

I guess the problem with shooting for a wall of noise is you gotta kinda hunt for the melody, or if there is one, you risk losing it in the mix, but also.. isn't that the point?

Anyway enjoy! I'm working on getting my site hosting in order so I can start posting the illustrations/art things to go along with these!

Edit: So I did some investigation.. it turns out pressing Render in abelton sounds very different to if I arm a track to resample the master input. Weird, its like rendering misses some of the plugin chain.. hmmmmm.. interesting.. The re-upped version is a resampled master rather than the 'export button' master, be curious to know what y'all think big_smile

Edit 2:
Have a picture

I don't know who I'm rooting for in this track, but I'm rooting for them SO HARD.

hurrah hurrah!! epic feelings come up. well done, sir.

Walls are fine if they're this pleasant, you have the most amazing sounds coming at me with that. Giving me the tinglies all the way through.

YES!   It sounds like they won, too

I didn't know this kind of music was called "wall of sound," but it sure feels *awesome* in a very positive and exhilarating way.

I feel free, thank you
