Go, Traveler

By alonemusic on April 10, 2016 10:59 pm

Was so busy this week, work and gigs. Fun stuff, but left little time for WB. However, I bust the ol' guitars out for this one and tried to work quickly.
Then I got stuck on the title, a quick look through the Kilgore Trout novel on my desk has the first line 'Go, Traveler'.. and thus a legend was born....

Despite all of this, I like this one. Enjoy, Loudly!

Nice grainy synth in contrast with the guitars--and those are some nice guitar lines, too.

(One thing I did notice was that the guitars sounded very direct-to-the-board, because I record direct a lot.  Lately I've been trying to put a bit more air around them with cabinet plugins and convolution reverb; that's just me, though.)

nice work creating that build up and a lot of energy

Very direct to board! I actually didn't use reverb or amps and just went for that sucked in 'close' approach... lots of delay though!
