To Look Beyond Limitations

Here is another one take recording where a lead-synth solo is the main element. There's a slow build up until there with an ambient pad setting the mood (or starting the journey towards the cosmos), a zithery melody accompanies it (the stars in the distance) and bass and drums punctuate it (the asteroids and other orbital bodies). Look up, look far, look bright!

Full synth-gasm track.  Vangelis porn.  Haha.

That pizzicato type bass line gave the track some motion amongst the pads.

I was reading an article about the Voyager probes when this came on -- perfect soundtrack, awesome!

Cheers! Yes, one can never have too much Vangelis smile) You are right, I am constantly trying to make different layers complement and contrast themselves so it doesn't turn too "floaty" especially since I tend to do slightly lenghtier tracks (well, at least from a modern point of view where everything is hyper-paced).

Greatly appreciated!

The bass adds an element of mystery, suspens while the rubbery synth reminds me of vangelis soundtracks. Nice composition!
