The Path of the Moon

Well I screwed it up last week, I didn't listen to what I uploaded because I was sleepy and I only rendered one of the tracks in the session. I wrote things about rhythms and guitar and there was only a washed out thing which was supposed to be a filling in pad for texture throughout the song sad Well, good lesson to learn. I will upload the correct track somewhere and post the link here as it doesn't seem I can edit the actual file in the past. Sorry for that.

Now for this week I did verify what I uploaded so the description will fit, I promise smile I used a lo-fi Piano (free iPad App from AudioKit) to improvise in Cmin and modulate to Cmaj towards the end. I applied the usual ambient treatment (shimmer reverb, reverse delays etc.) but felt like something was still missing in the mid-section so I also recorded a freely improvised distorted guitar part and added some generative drum patterns with it. I tend to see it a journey that takes you near peril but ends up on a high note. Everything is done in one take.

This song's quite nice. Takes a while to get where it's going, but once it's there, it's there.
