An ambient VCV Rack jam in C Lydian. From the playful interaction of two bass-lines (initial collision) to a haunting pad progression (the vastness of space), a twisted melody line (the song of coming to life) and reverb-drenched drums (shattering emergence).

yo i love way you use that mode, the evolution of the synth lines is really cool too. actually the way this develops kind of reminds me of witches brew by miles davis, of all things!
I feel like I'm in a planetarium going on a journey through space
Love those horns, awesome stuff!
When I said horns, what I meant was the synth melodies in general, but the horny ones in particular!
Here's a song that doesn't need to know when to quit.
It is really a peaceful floating feeling while listening. You can relax and imagine many things. I Favorite it to hear it again while drawing.
Thanks I'm glad you find it peaceful, to be honest it's one of the qualities I didn't think of when I was making it...but there you go, the power of music to escape intention.

Again, another association that pleasantly surprises me Much appreciated.

Precisely so! A bit different than you usual reverb-drenched ambient chords. Space can be quirky. Thanks!

Lovely, happy to hear that!

Haha, that's the nature of jamming I suppose, sometimes you get carried away whilst doing it and developing stuff. I did think whether to edit things out afterwards, but at the same time I didn't consider I would make it any better. So that's how it ended up.
I love the sound design on this track. All the synth tones work together perfectly.
