We are witnessing the world changing before our very eyes, and the seemingly impenetrable walls that we have build around our fragile society are collapsing. We do not know when and how this will end, but it is certain that we will not be the same. The change might not be as grand and profound as some hope but some veils will be teared forever. It is only for us to choose if we look beyond or not. This window will now be open.
In the light of these thoughts and seeing the coincidence that the Weekly Beats website divides the weeks of the year in clusters of 13 I made this track as a farewell to the past and hello to the future. I changed some of my means of building the track, using no modular sequencers this time. Instead I improvised in one take a wailing melody on the Moog Model D using as support a repeating motive that is played by 4 different playheads (thus creating a longer sequence out of a short pattern). Then to spice everything I've layered a sparse-rhythm drum and a moving around subtle arpeggio courtesy of Arturia's MicroFreak.

Quite a ride. I doubt it's going to be that dramatic for most of the world; maybe the US though.
This is wonderful. Puts me into a deep, meditative mood.
A proper farewell to 25% of the year, a proper hello to the unknown decade.
I'm really happy you say so, that's what I wanted it to be. In fact I was feeling a bit uneasy before I did the jam and after improvising the melody I was feeling so much better.

Thanks! Let's hope you are right and the consequences will be less severe. I kinda hinted the same in my text. However sometimes the interior-level changes can be much more intense than exterior ones. It remains to be seen.
I got lost in this thing, well done.

Much appreciated! It happened to me as well as I was doing it, haha.
