Walking in The Fall - Korg Minilogue XD Monologue Volca Lofi Hiphop

By Aisjam on September 20, 2020 9:53 am

So the tree in the back yard decided to dump a butt tonne of leaves and before i got to raking, I decided to have an AMSR field day. it sounded really cool with the crackles but I had an idea to use it like vinyl crackle in lofi music.

Wanting to use my Korgs for this one, I set them all up and made the patches, then I used renoise to plot the midi information, I don't have a midi connection from my computer so I used the USB midi on the Minilogue XD and routed the midi from there. Wanting to be more connected with my music I decided to live jam with the Volca FM to see what I could come up with. When I was ready I used reaper to record the song.

Check it out here.

Such a chill vibe. The fake leafs falling is a nice touch.

Super relaxing; love the leaf sounds. Isn’t it supposed to be spring over there though?

This is great. What did you use for the looping - just reaper?

cheers mission, it is spring, the tree is being SmArT. The leaves did make a really cool backing track.

I used renoise for midi data, I would of used my MPC however it needs a service. Reaper i treat as a multitrack
