Visual Clouds - Elektron Digitone Chillwave

By Aisjam on September 13, 2020 5:50 am

Getting a little obsessive over the Digitone this week and wanted to build a chilled tune. This one had me managing the voices as i wanted my lush 7 chords so I managed to squeeze the bass, arp, percussion and fx into the last 4 voices. I also got to play with some conditional trigs to augment the chords as it plays to keep the 64 step pattern fresh.

the drum pattern used the fill to add variance while playing, with an alternate pattern for the high hats. It was a bit tricky making the transition between them however it was fun to augment the sounds through this track.

Nice and lush. It can be lusher, but I'm not exactly sure how. Probably with some release in the envelope.

Very nice, the section that sounded most lush to my ears was the ending section starting at 3:00, the bass really elevates things enough so the fall at the end is more significant.

This is hot!  Love the Digitone!  I have a Model: Cycles for my FM fix, but would love a Digitone one day.  Love the chillout these sounds provide.  Great job
