This week I decided to take my recorder with me on a walk with my dog through the woods. In an abandoned quarry I found some metal and a solitary decades-old car bonnet. I threw a couple of rocks at it which startled my dog, and tapped the metal to get the sounds. Apart from a beat, kick and snare, all melody and sound is from those recordings, including a pitched recording of birdsong. I looped these metal recordings to get fast frequencies and played around with this resulting in the main lead and bass; this sounds pretty cool. I was going for a Chemical Brothers sort of vibe.
